Full Stack Developer


Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for a Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This role will encompass both web developing responsibilities and access control responsibilities. The candidate will be responsible for the oversight, development, and enhancements of web-based applications. The candidate will also be responsible for improving and maintaining security access infrastructure. This position will be remote, and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST.


Web Developer

  • Support infrastructure engineering and OS upgrades
  • Gather software/system requirements, and translate to applicable design and implementation
  • Exchange information (i.e, XML schema) with data engineers
  • Diagnose reported issues, efficiently navigate through application code, and find a resolution in reasonable time.
  • Interact with architecture/solution engineers
  • Support staff to ensure functional and performance concerns are addressed.
  • Evaluate and/or implement the following operating system software packages; including, but not limited to:

– RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7 or higher)

– CA SiteMinder, Directory, Identify Minder

– JBoss, Web Application Sever

– Spring frameworks (Batch, etc.)

– Apache frameworks (Commons, etc.)

– ORM Frameworks, Hibernate

– Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, REST API

– Software AG webMethods Integration Server

– Java EE, JMS

– Linux shell script (bash, sh, etc.), database SQL scripts (DDL, etc.)

– IBM Rational Enterprise Lifecycle Model (ELM) Tool Suite

– Eclipse IDE (Java)


  • Oracle Exadata/19c, Access Manager, Real Application Clusters, Automatic Storage
  • Gather requirements, develop build map rules, LCM events and workflows.

Access Control Manager:

  • Lead and participate in projects that include project resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage source code and builds for compliance reporting.
  • Champion problem management best practices, drive root cause resolution & reduce future incidents.
  • Identify risks and issues and develops recommendations that address significant risks and complex issues.
  • Develop documentation, workflow diagrams, and test scripts.
  • Manage customer expectations, and communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Lead a team to meet financial targets and figure out ways to get back on track in the event they fall behind
  • Develop strategies to investigate security incidents and access problems
  • Establish techniques for and review analysis, risk assessments, and troubleshooting to improve security systems
  • Ensure team members understand and perform according to set policies and procedures
  • Review audits and reports related to access security systems and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in BS degree (or higher) in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of performing in Senior Java/Web Developer role, preferably with Government Programs.
  • Experience should demonstrate software development using a myriad of programming and scripting languages, with emphasis on Java/J2EE
  • Minimum 4 years of coding and working with Java/J2EE and web technologies.
  • Minimum 4 years of software development experience utilizing various software development models, such as but not limited to Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall and Web technologies/tools and frameworks with emphasis on Eclipse, Spring, Apache, ORM, SOAP, XML/XML
  • Minimum 3 years of supporting Linux environments
  • Minimum 2 years of managing CMMI Level 3 (or higher) software projects
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills
  • Must have experience with Relay Logic, building code, ADA requirements, State License and code requirements, and a basic understanding of Network and Network Topology
  • Must have experience effectively leading multiple projects and teams at the same time, and communicating with the client regarding the projects.
  • Must understand financial statements and be able to break them down
  • Angular experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud development
  • Previous security clearance (secret, top secret)
  • Experience with web servers and IIS
  • Experience working with a federal agency either as a contractor or employee
  • Experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, SCIM, OAuth or SAML).
  • A background in working with in Software Engineering or Security
  • Good people management skills and able to work in a highly technical engineering environment.
  • Previous experience working for a federal government entity
