OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE 
Our Operations team plays a vital role in delivering high quality care to our growing member base. As a dynamic startup, this team builds processes and functions from the ground-up, applying innovation to deliver efficient, quality and timely outcomes. In this newly created role as Senior Manager, Market Strategy & Operations, you’ll lead the implementation of an in-person care strategy. This role is a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with almost all departments to build this capability. In this role, you’ll bring your comfort with ambiguity blended with your passion to drive change and execute to successfully implement a sound strategy. You’ll transition from strategy to implementation to ownership and evolve this new function over time.

Responsibilities

    • Detangle complex regulatory and operational/clinical requirements and apply them to our business model to build sound strategy for in person care
    • Develop clear and repeatable implementation plan for launching in person care models
    • Partner with the data team to use analytics to understand markets and optimal placement for in person care
    • Project manage a cross-functional team across legal, ops, talent, finance, product and care team to incorporate in person care into Pelago’s digital solution
    • Identify the right vendors to partner with and secure vendor contracts
    • Own vendor and network relationships, monitoring and validating the partnership is effective for our operations and our members

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of analytical operational experience such as startups, or equivalent; preference for candidates with healthcare experience
    • Supreme comfort with change and ability to drive progress through ambiguity
    • Collaborative, fast-learning and adaptable mindset; comfort with the start-up environment
    • Great project manager – tight organizational skills, action oriented, strong communicator and leads projects with context and data
    • Great process builder; able to build from scratch and also to see and drive improvements in an already existing process
    • Experience in a partnerships and/or business development role
    • Experience in healthcare, care delivery, healthcare regulatory environment a plus
