Job Description

The Cloud Systems Administrator maintains all infrastructure and cloud operations for the Internal Applications in our enterprise environments. This is done by monitoring and validating key operational indicators, following best practices and established standards, project managers, and managed service providers. The position ensures the timely delivery of high-quality IT services and projects supporting the company’s AWS systems and operations.  The candidate will work closely with the security engineer to lock down and monitor the cloud environments.

The Role

  • Technical knowledge of AWS platform and applications in AWS IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments.
  • Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within AWS environments.
  • Implement new environments in the AWS cloud.
  • Solid AWS Services Experience: EC2, Cloud Formation, VPC, ELB, AWS Security, S3, RDS, EBS, ECS.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools for automation.
  • Day-to-day monitoring and review of Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Support the Data Science development team in the AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operational and day-to-day administrative support functions, including troubleshooting issues and support of change and problem management processes.
  • Support AWS Cloud hosted applications (including deployments, patches, security checks, and maintenance).
  • Provide support and troubleshoot AWS deployed applications.
  • Provide guidance in developing and optimizing administrative processes and procedures.
  • Work with SMEs and Security Team in defining secure-based cloud architecture.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures, and operational processes.
  • Windows Server creation, configuration, upgrade, migration, and patching.
  • Implement security policies set out by security team.
  • Assist with Service Desk tickets to support customers and workforce members.

Requirements

  • Certified AWS SysAdmin
  • Minimum 3+ year of Administration experience with cloud-based applications (MS O365, SharePoint, Azure AD, AWS)
  • Experience administering Windows Server, and related services
  • Experience with HIPAA/HITRUST Compliance measures
  • Strong understanding Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML 2.0, and the standards, procedures, and processes
  • On-call for after-hours rotation schedule for Incident Response

Other Desired Requirements

  • Experience with Azure
  • Experience with Automox, Cloudstrike, Rapid7 or other security tools
  • Experience with laptop support (rebuilding, upgrade RAM, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office 365 technical experience to include an understanding of Azure, Azure AD, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Intune, etc.
